Job Description:
In search for an expert in Global Positioning Systems (GPS) technologies for modernized GPS user-equipment.
As a Scientist and Member of the Systems Engineering Technical Team, this position is responsible for the planning, development, design, execution, test, and guidance for Systems Engineering in Global Positioning Systems (GPS) / Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) user-equipment on real-time HW/SW applications on DoD programs.
Must have broad-based technical knowledge and experience in order to understand and evaluate systems engineering activities across the engineering functions.
As a key Member of the Engineering Technical Team, this position is responsible for the planning, development, design, execution, test for Systems Engineering focusing on Anti-Tamper (AT), Security, Cybersecurity, and Information Assurance (IA) on DoD programs.
Essential Functions:
Serve as Designer/Innovator for GPS / PNT Security technology and will be expected to survey technology, identify candidate techniques, model, and evaluate viability, write IRAD proposals and plans, presents papers, and provide senior technical direction.
Work under consultative direction against annual goals and objectives to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization.
Partner with the Business Development and Leadership Team to advance market footprint consistent with the projected business plan.
Develop and champion new systems concepts and technologies and recommend tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall business or functional results.
Have broad and deep technical knowledge and practical experience in Hardware/Software design and implementation, System Architecture, and Verification/Validation/Accreditation in AT, Cybersecurity, and IA on real-time HW/SW applications in DoD programs.
Provide algorithm development, modeling, system simulation, implementation, and verification with emphasis on military GPS receivers.
Execute design, build, integration and test activities, problem resolution and verifying that the deliverable products meet all program and customer requirements.
Provide innovative Systems Engineering solutions consistent with business development plans.
Provide project management reports, support senior level reviews, and support as a SME in the AT/IA/Cryptograhy/Cybersecurity domains as necessary.
Interface with the program's leadership and other teams (SW and HW) on a frequent basis, conduct or participate in customer and/or program technical review presentations, and provide progress status updates on work products.
Work effectively in both independent and team environments.
This position requires an active DOD Clearance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
7 years experience in GPS and PNT systems in the DoD.
10 years experience in Hardware and Software detailed design and implementation.
7 years experience as an Anti-Tamper (AT) practitioner and design engineer and subject matter expert.
3 years experience with Security Accreditation and the organizations.
3 years experience in AT, Crypto, or Cyber designs on DoD Systems.
7 years experience in working closely with the customer, agencies, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines, and meet customer deliveries.
3 years experience overseeing DOD or other government certification processes.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Security ClearancePreferred Additional Skills:
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
LI-JV1In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $144000 - $268000.
This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
